Food Alone

A man can’t eat on food alone.

My Grandma Lena would always say.

“I would break my dishes rather then hit my kids”

That always made me feel a bit unnerved. I never knew why until I started collecting dinnerware. She had some beautiful old things, what a shame. Although I believe the moment you raise your hand to a child You have lost control. I know the kids would have gotten over it!!!

I found these great plates at T. J. Max made by Gilitzer of Germany. They were sitting on the shelf for a long, long time. It seemed that most people thought they were not worth having. Hummmmm! I have a habit of go in the store and checking out the sale rack. On this particular day they were marked down to $1.00 each.

What!!!

So what would you like me to do just leave them there to collect dust. What kind of shopper do you think I am?

No! I had to rescue then. All six dinner plates

and 2 bowls. Yes! Give them a life worthy of the art that they are, all for a total of $8.00. Oh Yea and sales tax for Uncle Sam.

I used then every time I serve Seafood.
